What would you take with you, if you had to flee your home in a hurry, uncertain of your return? Learn what local civilians did on April 19, 1775. Once the refugees leave the Smith house, you may encounter them along the Battle Road Trail heading toward Lexington and Minute Man Visitor Center.

About the Event

What would you take with you, if you had to flee your home in a hurry, uncertain of your return?  Learn what local civilians did on April 19, 1775.  Women and children will be at the William Smith house during the day to pack and get ready to evcuate, while worrying about their fathers, sons, and husbands who are preparing for a potential battle.  Once the refugees leave the Smith house, you may encounter them along the Battle Road Trail heading toward Lexington and Minute Man Visitor Center.  Follow them to the Parker's Revenge Battle Re-Enactment.  Free event and free parking.  If you park at the Minute Man Visitor Center, the William Smith House is about a ten minute walk.
