About the Event

The Lincoln Fife & Drum will lead a march to the Old Burying Ground from Pierce House for a tribute to both British and Patriot soldiers. This annual commemorative ceremony by the Lincoln Minute Men has been conducted at their graves for more than fifty years.

Eleven Lincoln Patriots of the Revolution and five unknown British soldiers are buried in the oldest of Lincoln’s three burial grounds. The Company assembles with a contingent of British soldiers and invited dignitaries at Pierce House, and with fifes, drums playing, we march across fields and along historic paths to the burying ground, where we enter with muffled drums and fifes playing a Revolutionary funeral march.

Please join the company for refreshments at Pierce House following the ceremonies.
